Fall Champagne Punch!

If you're looking for a fun cocktail for Halloween I've got one for you. The great thing about this cocktail is that it's not just Halloween themed; but it Fall themed so you can make it again for Thanksgiving!

It's basically an apple juice mimosa; with some vodka, cinnamon, nutmeg, and sugar added in. It tastes like apple pie; so if you love apple pie you'll love this cocktail!

I also wanted to make a cocktail that had a colonial feel to it. I decorated my dining room with a "Spooky Hollow" theme this year, so I wanted the drink to have a colonial inspired vibe. This cocktail calls for apple cider; which I learned from research was a not only available but widely drunk in colonial America. Hard cider especially was a staple drink for colonial Americans.

Here's the recipe

makes 1 serving

for the drink:

1/2 cup of apple cider

1/2 cup of champagne

1/4 cup of vodka

dash of cinnamon

dash of nutmeg

for the rim of the glass:

First, dip the rim of the glass into water, then dip into the sugar and cinnamon mixture, set aside.

Next, place all the ingredients in a shaker with ice, mix

pour into the ready glass

Happy Halloween, Happy Fall, and Happy Thanksgiving to you all!
