This past weekend I attended my first event as a board member of the Pine Castle Historical Society. I wore my Mrs. Central Florida sash to bring attention to both the pageant and the Society.
We had 11 different competitors enter their delicious chili in the competition. A panel of judges chose the top 3 and the attendees chose a winner for “people’s choice”. It was a rainy and cold day; but a perfect day for chili!
I am so thrilled to be able to be a part of the Pine Castle Historical Society and promote historical preservation in our community. It creates a sense of a community and encourages civic participation.
