Easy, Natural, Conditioning Hair Rinse

This hair rinse is my favorite! It leaves my hair feeling soft and looking shiny. It’s easy to make and will make you feel like a beauty goddess!! I especially enjoy it in the summertime because my hair gets dried out for the sun, beach, and pool.

There are three variations; one for red hair, blonde hair, and brown or dark hair.

For red hair:

3 tbsp dried hibiscus flowers

3 tbsp dried calendula flowers

2 cups of water

1 tbsp of apple cider vinegar

Place the water in a medium sauce pan. Add the dried flowers to the water and bring to a boil. Cover and turn off the heat. Allow the mixture to compelety cool, then strain the liquid out using cheesecloth of a mesh strainer. Add the apple cider vinegar and mix well. The mixture will keep in the fridge for about two weeks. Pour a small amount in a plastic cup or squeeze bottle when you are ready to use it. After shampooing pour it over you hair, let sit for a few seconds, and then rinse it out. Add conditioner or not, totally up to you! Repeat as desired.

For blonde hair:

3 tbsp dried chamomile

3 tbsp dried calendula flowers

2 cups of water

1 tbsp of lemon juice

Follow the directions above subbing the chamomile for hibiscus and the lemon juice for apple cider vinegar.

For brown or dark hair:

2 tbsp dried rosemary

2 tbsp dried sage

2 tbsp lavender

2 cups of water

1 tbsp apple cider vinegar

Follow the same directions as above. Bring the herbs and water to a boil, let cool completely, strain the herbs, and then add the vinegar to the mixture.
