Halloween Decor

Decorating for holidays is my jam. I find so much joy in decorating for all of them! I put a lot of time and effort into designing my Halloween decor. Each year I find that its getting more and more elaborate; but I love it! When my boys were really small it was so much harder to decorate, and there were years that I skipped decorating all together. Now that they are older its gotten much easier and they enjoy decorating with me. Win win!

I’ve pulled together some awesome decorative items to help you design your perfect Halloween decor! Grab some coffee or wine (is it wine o’clock yet) and settle in for some fun!

For my table I wanted to create a Sleepy Hollow inspired look. I’m calling it “Colonial meets Creepy”. I kept the decorations simple, sticking to items that had a colonial/17th century feel. For the table cloth I found a muslin cloth at target that gives the perfect colonial feel. I stuck with all black pumpkins and foliage to up the creepy factor. Candles and containers all have a colonial feel.

Outside, I wanted a more whimsical fun feel, which I also did for my chandelier inside. I stuck with a color scheme of black, white, and orange. Curtain rods spray painted black create space for me to hang garlands and lights on my front porch.

Around the house candles, spiders, and cute decorative items make fun little Halloween “vignettes”. My little Halloween village is a family favorite! All the pieces are from Pottery Barn and a mix of discontinued and new pieces. Sadly, they are out of stock already this year; but I will keep you posted if that changes.
